Jimmie Ward activated from the PUP list

Jimmie Ward has been activated off the PUP list where he has spent all but one practice of the preseason. He has been dealing with an injured hamstring. (San Jose Mercury News )
Fantasy Impact:
Ward should be welcomed with open arms to the 49ers' practice. He is expected to occupy the free safety spot which is the most important part of this defense. His absence, however, has led to the development of Lorenzo Jerome, who has been a more than capable fill-in. It may have been a blessing in disguise and allow Ward to ease back into action to avoid any setbacks that hamstrings are famous for. If Ward pans out the way the 49ers expect him to, he will have DB1 upside.
