Alex Collins signed to Ravens practice squad

Fantasy Impact:
Despite being pushed two years in a row by RBs with less pedigree (Troymaine Pope in 2016, Chris Carson in 2017), Collins was simply a victim of a crowded Seahawks backfield. His limited work in the NFL and impressive track record at Arkansas give hope to Collins producing in the future. He joins a Ravens backfield that consists of either uninspiring (Terrance West, Buck Allen) or undersized (Danny Woodhead) options. Being picked up by an RB starved team like the Ravens was the best thing for Collins's fantasy prospects going forward. Don't get cute and add him to your redraft rosters, but keep him on your watch lists.
