Melvin Gordon underwhelms with 42 total yards on 21 touches in loss
by Alex Pilloff | Sun, Nov 12th 5:50pm EST
Melvin Gordon rushed 16 times for 27 yards and caught five passes for 15 yards in the Chargers' Week 10 overtime loss to the Jaguars. Gordon out-snapped his backfield mate Austin Ekeler 47-23, but Ekeler was much more productive, turning 15 touches into 119 total yards and two touchdowns.
Fantasy Impact:
Gordon was severely outplayed by the dynamic rookie this week, but he will still be used as a workhorse in the Chargers' high-powered offense. Gordon is still a solid RB1 going forward and will find a much easier matchup next week in a Buffalo defense that allowed the Saints to score six rushing touchdowns in Week 10.
