Melvin Gordon III
RB - DEN
Week 13 Outlook
Denver Broncos RB Melvin Gordon III rushed 12 times for 31 yards in the Broncos' 31-3 loss to the New Orleans Saints in Week 12.
The Saints defense stacked the box against the shorthanded Broncos, which led to Gordon having very minimal rushing lanes all game. If there is any silver lining to his subpar performance, fellow RB mate Phillip Lindsay left the game with a knee injury. Assuming the Broncos will be near full strength next week, he'll have one less RB to compete with for carries. Gordon will be a low-end RB2/flex against Kansas City in Week 13.
Melvin Gordon III rushed 15 times for 84 yards and two touchdowns in a 20-13 win over the Dolphins.
Gordon saw just 50% of the snaps in this one, but made the most of his opportunities, averaging 5.6 yards per carry against the Dolphins. He’ll have a tough test next week when the New Orleans Saints come to town.
Broncos RB Melvin Gordon III rushed 11 times for 46 yards in the Broncos' Week 10 loss to the Raiders.
Gordon cleared 10 carries for the first time in three games, leading the Broncos' backfield while also getting two targets in the passing game. The Broncos offense is in shambles, and despite getting the lion share of the workload, he can't be trusted as anything more than an RB3/flex in 10-12 team redraft leagues. He'll have a difficult matchup against the stout Miami Dolphins defense, which surrendered 3.8 yards per carry to Kalen Ballage in Week 10.
Broncos RB Melvin Gordon III rushed six times for 18 yards and added one reception for nine receiving yards in the Broncos' Week 9 loss to the Atlanta Falcons.
Gordon III is quickly losing steam on his control of the Broncos backfield as he's now received less than 10 carries for the second consecutive game. He's in a tight timeshare with Phillip Lindsay and even received less work in the passing game, garnering one target to Lindsay's three. Fantasy managers should consider benching Gordon III as he's seen fewer touches in the past two weeks with Lindsay's expanded role in the offense.
Melvin Gordon caught 6-of-7 targets for 21 yards in the Broncos' 31-30 Week 8 win over the Chargers.
Gordon also ran eight times for 26 yards. The six catches somewhat salvaged his fantasy performance in PPR leagues, but otherwise Gordon was a letdown against his former team. Phillip Lindsay was once again plenty involved and scored a long touchdown. Gordon will be a low-end RB2 for an attackable Week 9 matchup versus the Falcons.
