Melvin Gordon III
RB - DEN
Week 7 Outlook
Broncos RB Melvin Gordon III has 10 carries for 50 yards and adds three receptions for 23 yards in Sunday's loss to the Raiders.
The touches in the Denver backfield remain a 50/50 split, making Gordon a respectable floor play in fantasy. It appears as though barring injury, stats like this should be expected on a week-to-week basis moving forward. A Week 7 matchup with a banged-up Cleveland D/ST makes Gordon an option as a FLEX or in DFS.
Broncos running back Melvin Gordon will suit up against the Raiders on Sunday. He had been listed as questionable with a hip injury.
Gordon has dealt with a slew of injuries this season but has yet to miss a game, so his availability on Sunday is not a surprise. Through five games, he has rushed 60 times for 282 yards and two scores while also adding 96 yards through the air. Despite sharing a backfield with Javonte Williams, the 28-year-old Gordon falls into the high-end RB3 category against Las Vegas.
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport is reporting Broncos RB Melvin Gordon III (hip) is expected to play in Week 6.
Gordon is dealing with a hip issue but is in line to play in Sunday's matchup with the Raiders. While Gordon is sharing time with Javonte Williams, he's still playing 30+ snaps per game. It is important to note that Gordon is coming off back-to-back games with 11 touches, both season lows. It could be injury or it could be the pendulum swaying in Williams' favor. Either way, Gordon's matchup with the Raiders is a favorable one. He could be deployed in your Flex spot. With all the injuries to running backs and bye weeks starting, you may not have a better option.
Denver RB Melvin Gordon is questionable for Sunday's game vs. the Raiders with a leg injury.
Gordon was limited at practice this week with the leg but appears on track to go against the Raiders. Fantasy managers would be wise to monitor on game day. If he goes, Gordon can be considered a low-end RB2.
Broncos RB Melvin Gordon III returned to practice in limited fashion on Thursday, an upgrade from no practice on Wednesday.
Gordon returning is good news for some fantasy managers and bad for others. Obviously people who roster Gordon welcome this news as he looks primed to continue to splitting carries in Denver's backfield, which gives him some value albeit very little. Another limited session on Friday should put him on track for Sunday's game against the Raiders.
