Alshon Jeffery signs 4-year, $52M extension with Eagles

Adam Schefter has reported that the Eagles have extended Alshon Jeffery's contract with a 4 year, $52 million deal with an additional $1m in incentives. (Adam Schefter on Facebook)
Fantasy Impact:
Jeffery has been the missing piece for the Eagles' offense since Carson Wentz's rookie year, and although Zach Ertz has caught more passes, Jeffery has been a vital touchdown producer and has elevated the game of receivers around him. It is a good deal for the Eagles and a good amount of money per year for Jeffery - a win for both parties. This locks in Jeffery as a solid WR2, and Wentz as a top QB, for 2018 and beyond. This could also mean the end of Torrey Smith with the Eagles after this year, who signed a 3 year, $15m contract in the off-season, to get current rookie Mack Hollins more playing time and save money against the cap.
