Carlos Hyde

Carlos Hyde is averaging 2.7 yards per carry

At the beginning of the season, a lot of us thought that Hyde would out play and steal Frank Gore's starting job. Averaging 2.7 yards per carry is not going to cut it. Gore is still the man in SF, and will remain the starter as long as he is healthy. (NBC Bay Area)

Fantasy Impact:

We had such high expectations for Hyde during fantasy football drafts, but reality has set in. He is behind Gore, and will not take over as starter unless Frank is injured. Feel free to drop Carlos Hyde in standard leagues for someone that can contribute on your fantasy team.

Being the Highest Ranked Expert on Carlos Hyde this preseason. He is the type of player you should stash on your bench as long as you can because it is inevitable that Frank Gore will eventually start to slow down. He is looking nowhere near his vintage self as he rushed for less than 2.5 YPC 3x already this season. Hyde is no doubt the future RB for the 49ers as they groom him to be the next Frank Gore. This season is very similar to Garrison Hearst passing the torch to Frank Gore.
