Allen Hurns signs two-year deal with Cowboys

by Mike Tagliere | Fri, Mar 23rd 1:02pm EDT

ESPN's Adam Schefter is reporting that the Cowboys are signing free agent wide receiver Allen Hurns to a two-year contract. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

We've heard a few teams interested in Hurns over the last few days, though the Cowboys don't really make all that much sense. Hurns has primarily played the slot over the last few seasons, an area that the Cowboys have occupied with Cole Beasley and last year's draft pick Ryan Switzer. Dealing with a multitude of different injuries over the last few years, Hurns hasn't topped 500 yards in either of the last two seasons. He's likely just a depth chart signing for the Cowboys who continue to search for a wide receiver to play opposite Dez Bryant. This should not deter them from drafting a wide receiver on day two of the NFL Draft.
