Trey Quinn looking far from irrelevant

by Jody Smith | Sun, Jun 10th 5:31pm EDT

Former LSU and SMU WR Trey Quinn was selected with the 256th and final pick of the 2018 NFL Draft, earning him the 'Mr. Irrelevant' tag that accompanies the final pick of each draft but Quinn has been turning heads during Washington's OTAs. Jay Gruden anointed Quinn 'the silent assassin' and complimented the rookie's strong hands and versatility. "Trey is a guy that we’re going to rely on to be able to play multiple spots, be tough enough in the running game to block safeties from time to time. He’ll do whatever is asked of him, I know that, and maybe even return some punts," said Gruden. "We’ll see, but I’ve been very impressed with Trey.” (Pro Football Talk)

Fantasy Impact:

Quinn caught an NCAA-best 114 receptions last year at SMU, averaging 10.8 yards-per-catch and scoring 13 touchdowns. Jamison Crowder, Paul Richardson, and Josh Doctson are locked in as the Redskins' top-3 receivers, but Quinn looks like he's going to have a legitimate chance to make the 53-man roster as the WR4. Listed at 6-0, 202-pounds, Quinn is now very relevant in dynasty leagues.
