Corey Nelson released by Eagles

Corey Nelson's stint in Philadelphia was a brief one as the Eagles released the 26-year-old linebacker five months after signing him in free agency from the Broncos. Nelson was expected to compete for the team's starting weak-side linebacker spot but never mounted a serious run at that job. (The Philadelphia Inquirer)
Fantasy Impact:
Nelson fared well as a reserve in Denver for his first three seasons before playing just 44 snaps in five games during the 2017 season. He'll keep his $600,000 signing bonus from the Eagles and likely draw attention as linebacker depth, perhaps back in Denver.
