Big Ben agrees to new contract with Steelers

by Matt Franciscovich | Fri, Mar 13th 4:56pm EDT

The Steelers have wisely re-upped their contract with veteran signal caller Ben Roethlisberger. The deal is for 5 years starting in 2015. (NFL.com)

Fantasy Impact:

Big Ben finished 2014 as a top-5 fantasy QB with 32 touchdown passes and nearly 5,000 yards passing. He's been somewhat of an inconsistent option for fantasy owners over the years, but there is a good chance that he improves on last season's career-high numbers with lethal offensive weapons like running back Le'Veon Bell and wideouts Antonio Brown and Martavis Bryant surrounding him. Contract figures are yet to be known, but it is expected that the new contract will allow him to finish his career as a Steeler.
