Cornerback Lardarius Webb takes a pay cut

Baltimore Ravens have restructured the contract of cornerback Lardarius Webb. He was set to make $8 million as a base salary for 2015. Not unlike Terrell Suggs' contract restructuring where Suggs still make the same money but it was converted into a bonus. Now, Webb will be making $2.5 million less as a base salary, like a pay cut. Fantasy Impact:
Webb probably allowed a contract restructuring because he was concerned about his future with the Ravens after the team traded former nose tackle Haloti Ngata. Webb was a top cornerback because of his ability to defend deep passes by attacking receivers and finishing the play. Taking a pay cut and making $6 million as a 29-year old injury-prone cornerback might be his best bet.
