Kenyan Drake: Kliff Kingsbury wants to get RB more involved in passing game

Speaking with reporters after the first day of padded practice on Monday, Cardinals coach Kliff Kingsbury mentioned that they want to get Kenyan Drake more involved in the passing game. He went on to say, "Any way we can get him the ball in space is what we're going to try to do. He's hard to tackle one-on-one in space. So that's an area we'd like to get him more involved in." Fantasy Impact:

This is simply music to the ears of Kenyan Drake truthers. The 26-year-old back was said to be 'learning-on-the-fly' during his time with Arizona last season after arriving mid-season to Kingsbury's advanced offensive scheme. Still, Drake's talent and opportunity allowed him to finish as the RB4 from week nine on while being on pace for 56 catches and 70 targets in the passing game. With Arizona adding All-Pro receiver DeAndre Hopkins to the mix this offseason, it will seemingly be tough for Drake to see more volume in the passing game, however, it is certainly encouraging that Kingsbury is making it a priority. Drake is currently RB11 in the latest expert consensus rankings but possesses top-five upside due to talent and opportunity.
