Devine Ozigbo 'could get some decent Week 1 run' per Jags beat writer

by Brad Camara | Tue, Sep 1st 11:57am EDT

RB Ryquell Armstead's absence from practice reportedly could give Devine Ozigbo "some decent Week 1 run," per Jaguars beat writer John Shipley. (John Shipley on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Armstead was activated from the COVID-19/reserve list recently, but has missed practice due to a non-related illness. He continues to miss practice opening an opportunity for second-year back Devine Ozigbo. Jacksonville released starting RB Leonard Fournette, leaving 265 carries up for grabs in the Jaguars' backfield. Ozigbo has looked explosive in training camp and could recieve a decent amount of touches Week 1. The 23-year-old logged nine carries for 27 yards over 10 games in 2019. Ozigbo is currently 101st in the expert consensus rankings, but expect that number to rise if he becomes the Jaguars lead back.
