Jalen Ramsey, Rams agree to massive contract extension

Cornerback Jalen Ramsey and the Los Angeles Rams have agreed to terms on a massive extension that resets the cornerback market, according to ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter. The five-year, $105M extension averages $21M per year and is the largest contract signed by a cornerback. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)

The Rams have been trying to extend Ramsey since acquiring him in a trade with the Jacksonville Jaguars for two first-round picks last year. Ramsey won't turn 26 years old until October and is already one of the best defensive backs in the NFL, and the Rams just locked him up for the next five seasons.
