La'Mical Perine to be Jets 'featured back' over rest of season

Rich Cimini of ESPN reports that Jets rookie RB La'Mical Perine will be the team's "featured back" for the remainder of the season. (ESPN)
Fantasy Impact:
Cimini writes that the Jets want to determine if Perine can be a future RB1. It's an encouraging report, but we've already heard once this year that the team wanted to get Perine more involved. For whatever reason coach Adam Gase just hasn't stopped giving touches to Frank Gore. Even if Perine receives a few more touches per game he maxes out as a FLEX play in most fantasy formats. The fourth-round rookie has a season-high of 40 rushing yards.
