Ryan Fitzpatrick has agreed to terms on a one-year/$10M deal with the Washington Football Team. The deal can be worth up to $12M and Fitzpatrick is expected to go into a camp competition for the starting duties with Taylor Heinicke. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Ryan Fitzpatrick was rumored to be planning a retirement just weeks ago. Now, he'll head to Washington in an attempt to beat out Taylor Heinicke for the starting duties. Heinicke is fresh off a two-year/$4.75M contract, largely due to his postseason battle against Tom Brady. Fitzpatrick, if he's able to win the starting job, would make for an intriguing fantasy quarterback. While he'd probably be out of the QB1 consideration, he'd be worth a shot in two-quarterback and superflex leagues. Fitzpatrick's reputation as a gunslinging veteran could certainly elevate the values of those around him too, specifically Terry McLaurin and Logan Thomas. Washington's offseason quarterback competition will be worth watching and we will bring you any regarding it.
