Cornell Powell selected No. 181 by Kansas City Chiefs

The Kansas City Chiefs have selected WR Cornell Powell with the No. 181 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.

Fantasy Impact:

Kansas City makes their first offensive selection in the 2021 draft, taking the physical wide receiver Cornell Powell out of Clemson. Powell's ability to bring in contested catches and provide a huge catch radius is something that the Chiefs needed at the wideout position, as their more slender receivers like Demarcus Robinson, Byron Pringle, and Mecole Hardman operate better between the hash marks. Powell hauled in 53 receptions for 882 yards and seven touchdowns, showcasing his receiving skills when finally given the opportunity at Clemson in 2020. He also provides great blocking with his 6'0", 205-pound frame which will help the Chiefs execute their RPO, motion-heavy offense.
