Amari Cooper (ankle) not expected to practice before third preseason game

Jerry Jones said he doesn't expect WR Amari Cooper to practice until after the team's second preseason game against the Cardinals, according to Clarence Hill Jr. Cooper had ankle surgery in January. (Clarence Hill Jr on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Cooper was placed on the PUP list to begin training camp. Following ankle surgery in January, the WR started to feel an "irritation" in his ankle in May, according to Ian Rapoport. At the time, Rapoport added that "Cooper is unlikely to be able to run for the next two-three weeks, because rest is needed to remedy the ankle." The WR ended up on the PUP list to start camp because of concern with his inability to run, which would put Cooper at risk of reinjuring his ankle due to potentially not being in proper shape. We'll have more on Cooper as news develops.
