Drew Lock to get first team reps to open training camp

by Zak McDonald | Giants Correspondent | Tue, Jul 27th 3:16pm EDT

Denver Broncos head coach Vic Fangio says that QB Drew Lock will get most first-team reps at the start of training camp as he competes with Teddy Bridgewater for the starting role, per Chase Goodbread of Around the NFL. (Around the NFL on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Lock and Bridgewater split first-team reps 50/50 in OTAs, but it looks like Lock will get the first chance to earn the starting role. Fangio says the team will take a look at the competition after the first day and will "maybe do a day where one gets 70 and the other 30 reps. It's going to be 50-50." This seems to be a truly open competition. Lock has a strong arm and is more willing to take risks than Bridgewater, who is the safer choice of the two.
