Jordan Howard expected to be added to the Eagles' roster

This week, Howard practiced with the starters and is expected to be elevated or signed to the Eagles roster ahead of Sunday's game versus the Lions. Philadelphia placed starting running back Miles Sanders (ankle) on the injured reserve Friday, and he's set to miss a minimum of three weeks. Howard could split early-down work with teammate Boston Scott but is not expected to have a vital role in the Eagles offense while Sanders is sidelined. Howard was added for depth purposes and is not on the fantasy radar in 2021. Despite the plus matchup, the veteran running back is a dart throw in deep-leagues at best against the Lions in Week 8.
