Antonio Brown says he won’t play in 2022

by Sam Ryner | Sat, May 28th 11:19pm EDT

While being interviewed during a Fan Controlled Football game, Antonio Brown indicated that he is done playing in the NFL. When asked if he would play next season, Brown said “Nah, don’t play yourself looking at me to play.” (Pro Football Talk)

Fantasy Impact:

Brown’s career has been an absolute roller coaster ride filled with brilliant on-the-field performances and bizarre on and off-the-field antics. Brown has been a technician as a route-runner and has consistently demonstrated the ability to separate from defenders even while playing into his 30s. Fantasy football can be a “what have you done for me lately?” game for many players, so it can be easy to forget how truly special of a player Brown has been during his career, but Brown had a five-year stretch between 2013 through 2017 where he finished no worse than the WR2 in PPR formats. Brown finished as the WR1 in three consecutive years between 2014-2016. If that seems impressive it’s because it is unbelievably impressive. Brown’s off-the-field drama tends to garner more headlines than his on-the-field play as of late, but you will be hard pressed to find a fantasy WR who has even been as dominant throughout his career as Brown has been.
