Head coach Kyle Shanahan sang the praises of second-year running back Trey Sermon, saying that he "has done everything he can" and "is as yolked up as he can be." (David Lombardi on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
The 23-year-old is still part of a crowded San Francisco backfield with Jeff Wilson, Tyrion Davis-Price, and JaMychel Hasty all vying for the role of RB2 behind Elijah Mitchell. While Shanahan's kind words are positive, until things shake out during training camp, Sermon remains more of a "Hail Mary" pick on your final turn in a draft.
