Fantasy Impact:
Ballard was drafted along with Andrew Luck in the 2012 NFL Draft (5th Round). During his rookie season Ballard looked like the back that was going to own the back field for the Colts for years to come. He ran for 814 yards along with 2 TDs. Make no mistake, Frank Gore is the guy to own at the running back position, but if Ballard battles back he can learn a lot from Gore and take over the number two spot. I know Dan Herron had an impressive post season last year, but Ballard may cause some serious competition.
