C.J. Uzomah has contract restructured to create cap space

C.J. Uzomah had $4.5 million of his salary converted to a bonus, clearing $3.6 million in cap space for the Jets. (Tom Pelissero on Twitter )
Fantasy Impact:
The Jets had less than $2 million in cap space prior to the move, and Uzomah is signed with the team through the next two seasons. The move will free the Jets to potentially make a move in free agency or attempt to land a playmaker via trade.
