Commanders, Dan Snyder nearing sale to new owners

by Jordan Epp | Commanders Correspondent | Thu, Apr 13th 6:04pm EDT

According to Sportico, and corroborated by Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, Washington Commanders owner Dan Snyder is in a preliminary agreement to sell the franchise to a new owners group led by Josh Harris. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Snyder has owned the NFL's Washington franchise since 1999, most recently of which the years have been tumultuous and filled with off-field drama. Harris, a co-owner of the 76ers, leads a group of investors including Magic Johnson to what will likely be a $6 billion purchase of the Commanders. New ownership of the franchise could help right the ship that has struggled on and off the field over the last decade.
