Jaguars OC Press Taylor stated that while Travis Etienne Jr will still be the primary RB for Jacksonville, the percentage of snaps, carries, and receptions won't be decided until the season begins. (ESPN)

Fantasy Impact:

The Jaguars have fortified their running back corps for the 2023 season, supplementing incumbent Travis Etienne Jr. with D'Ernest Johnson and rookie Tank Bigsby. Coach Doug Pederson is enthusiastic about the depth and competition this brings to the team. After Etienne took over as the Jaguars' top back in 2022, he accounted for 74% of the running back carries. While he ran for 1,125 yards and amassed 1,441 yards from scrimmage, the team seems keen to avoid over-reliance on him moving forward. Fantasy football players should note that while Etienne had a standout 2022 season, the added depth in the backfield might impact his workload this year.
