According to Lindsey Thiry of ESPN, Los Angeles Chargers head coach Brandon Staley declined to comment on whether the organization would pursue free agent WR DeAndre Hopkins, who expressed interest in playing with QB Justin Herbert. (Lindsey Thiry on Twitter)
Hopkins would add another wrinkle into an already well-developed WR room, which Staley said he is excited to see as it is in 2023. With Keenan Allen, Mike Williams and rookie WR Quentin Johnston, there would be a lot of overlap and competition for snaps on the outside if Hopkins joined forces. While Hopkins would certainly be a good fit for Herbert and new offensive coordinator Kellen Moore, it would be a surprise if the two parties united.
