Jaylen Waddle: yet to clear concussion protocol, nearing return
by Sammy Schulman | Dolphins Correspondent | Mon, Sep 25th 3:12pm EDT
According to Dolphins' HC Mike McDaniel, star WR Jaylen Waddle has not managed to clear the NFL's concussion protocol, but he is "optimistic" that Waddle will clear it soon. (Daniel Oyefusi on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
The Dolphins offense looked more than fine without Waddle on Sunday, dropping a team-record 70 points, but that does not mean Waddle is not an essential piece to the offensive puzzle in Miami. Waddle is the deep threat, averaging a ridiculous 20.5 yards per reception, improving upon his league-leading 18.1 YPR from 2022. Waddle seems to be trending towards returning to the Dolphins lineup in Week 4 when the team faces their toughest test thus far, Buffalo. The week's practice reports should give a clearer indication as to Waddle's status.
