Carolina Panthers fire HC Frank Reich just 11 games into first season

The Panthers have fired first-year HC Frank Reich after a 1-10 start to the season, according to multiple reports. Special teams coordinator Chris Tabor will serve as interim HC. (Tom Pelissero on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

The Panthers hired Reich this offseason and assembled a QB-friendly offensive staff before trading up in the NFL Draft to select Alabama QB Bryce Young. Young and the Carolina offense have struggled to a 1-10 record through their first 11 games, while fellow first-year QB C.J. Stroud, who was selected No. 2 in the draft by the Houston Texans, is thriving to the point he is the favorite for Rookie of the Year and is in the MVP conversation. And the cherry on top is that, despite having the worst record in the NFL, the Panthers won't be able to use their first-round pick in 2024 to improve their roster because they traded that pick to the Bears as part of their 2023 NFL Draft move for Young. As for fantasy impact, things can't get much worse for the offensive playmakers in Carolina, and they may get a small short-term boost as a result of this move.
