Cleveland Browns RB Nick Chubb, who has been sidelined since early last season with a knee ligament injury, is expected to make his season debut in Week 7 versus the Cincinnati Bengals. (Daniel Oyefusi on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Chubb played in just two games in 2023, rushing for 170 yards on 28 carries (6.1 yards per attempt) before suffering a season-ending injury in Week 2. The veteran rusher underwent surgery to repair his MCL and meniscus and had a subsequent surgery on his ACL. Multi-ligament injuries are often of the highest concern, so it should not be a surprise if Chubb is not back in form in 2024. However, the four-time Pro Bowler and one-time All-Pro is one of the best RBs in the NFL when healthy and is seventh all-time in career yards-per-carry average (third among non-QBs). Chubb’s return will likely be a hit for RB Jerome Ford’s value, especially on goal-line touches (Chubb has 48 career touchdown runs in six seasons).
