Richie James Jr. announces retirement from NFL

Richie James Jr. took to social media on Friday to announce his retirement from the NFL. (Richie James on Twitter)

"Unfortunately my knee never healed properly," James said in a social media post. "I was playing hurt since 22’. Oh well. I gave everything I got to the game of Football." He last played for the Chiefs in the 2023 season who he won a Super Bowl with. He was drafted by the 49ers in the seventh-round of the 2018 NFL Draft.
