Richie James Jr.
WR - SF - IR
Week 2 Outlook
Richie James Jr. failed to bring in his only target during the 49ers 20-12 win over the Cardinals in Week 16.
James is a streaky player who also offers a very low floor and Saturday was a great example of that. He's only caught four passes over the last two weeks and he won't be a recommended fantasy option against the Seahawks in Week 17.
Richie James Jr. hauled in 4-of-7 targets for 56 yards during the 49ers' 33-41 loss to the Cowboys in Week 15.
James Jr. was second only to Brandon Aiyuk with seven targets in this one as the 49ers' threw 43 passes. He has been pretty quiet since his 9/184/1 blowup game vs. the Packers last month but should continue seeing more volume with Deebo Samuel (hamstring) out of the lineup.
Richie James hauled in all three of his targets during the 49ers' 15-23 loss to the WFT in Week 14.
James was not targeted in Week 13 with the 49ers' fully healthy at receiver, but saw some extra run with Deebo Samuel (hamstring) going down. James Jr. offers big play potential but likely won't see the kind of volume needed for weekly fantasy production in this offense. He should be a WR5/6 for a Week 15 date against the Cowboys.
Richie James did not field a target or touch during the 49ers' 24-34 loss to the Bills' on Monday Night Football.
James wasn't seen in the passing game on a night where Nick Mullens threw 39 passes. With Deebo Samuel and Brandon Aiyuk fully healthy, James is rendered an afterthought in this 49ers' passing game.
49ers WR Richie James Jr. caught one pass for 29 yards in Sunday's win over the Rams.
With the return of Deebo Samuel and Brandon Aiyuk, James' fantasy relevance may have already peaked. His value moving forward relies solely on the health of San Francisco's top playmakers.
