Jordan Mason: workload split could be closer than expected

by Garrett Ball | Vikings Correspondent | Tue, Jul 29th 12:58pm EDT

Jordan Mason's backfield share might not be a 50-50 split with Aaron Jones, but it looks like the workload is going to be closer than in previous years under Kevin O'Connell. (Kevin Seifert on ESPN)

Fantasy Impact:

Seifert noted that in years past, KOC has often favored a 2-to-1 split in backfield touches. But it's looking like that might be closer to a 60-40 this season. The Vikings have been impressed with Mason's receiving skills in training camp despite his lack of a target share on the 49ers. Mason is looking interesting this year and could be a viable flex option with RB2 upside should Aaron Jones, who's coming off of the most touches of his career, miss time due to injury.
