Minnesota Vikings

NFC North

Minnesota Vikings receiver Olabisi Johnson hauled in his only target for 16 yards receiving against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Fantasy Impact: Olabisi Johnson played ahead of Laquon Treadwell, but saw just 28 percent of the team's snaps. Johnson can be left on the wire in season long leagues, but remains a hold in deeper dynasty formats.

Danielle Hunter finished Sunday’s 38-20 win over the Eagles with three total tackles and a sack.

Fantasy Impact: Hunter is leading all Vikings in sacks (6) and is third on the team in total tackles with 31 through Week 6. He should be started in most leagues and formats with confidence.

Eric Kendricks finished tied for the most tackles during Sunday’s 38-20 win over the Eagles. He racked up 10 tackles (eight solo), 0.5 sacks, and a forced fumble.

Fantasy Impact: Kendricks is leading all Vikings in total tackles (49) through Week 6. He should be started most weeks across all formats as a low-end LB1.

Anthony Barr was tied with Eric Kendricks racking up the most tackles (10) during Sunday’s 38-20 win over the Eagles.

Fantasy Impact: Barr is currently sixth on the team in total tackles (27) through Week 6. He should be left on waivers in most leagues. After Sunday’s performance, he must be kept on the radars of all fantasy owners in need of an LB replacement during Bye Weeks.

Minnesota Vikings D/ST racked up two sacks, two interceptions, and a fumble recovery in Sunday's 38-20 win over the Eagles.

Fantasy Impact: The Vikings defense forced three turnovers and sacked Carson Wentz twice in Sunday's win. It's been a solid campaign for this unit who will have a favorable matchup with the Lions in Week 7 and an excellent matchup with the Redskins in Week 8.

Adam Thielen brought in six of eight targets for 57 yards and a TD, adding one carry for no gain in the Vikings’ 38-20 win over the Eagles on Sunday.

Fantasy Impact: Steady as she goes for No. 19, who reeled in his fifth touchdown of the season in Sunday's win. Battling an illness all week, Thielen played at less than 100 percent and took a backseat to Stefon Diggs, who exploded for 167 yards and three scores. A potential shootout with the division-rival Lions should pay dividends for Thielen in Week 7.

Dan Bailey made his only field goal attempt and all five of his extra points in the Vikings’ 38-20 win over the Eagles on Sunday.

Fantasy Impact: Bailey was perfect for the second week in a row, nailing a field goal and five PATs. With the Vikings' offense finding its groove, Bailey will remain a high-end kicker option moving forward.

Laquon Treadwell caught his lone target for 15 yards in the Vikings’ 38-20 win over the Eagles on Sunday.

Fantasy Impact: Cut in early September, Treadwell came back to Minnesota and made his first reception of the season Sunday. Treadwell is just a footnote in Minnesota’s offense, and his projected involvement is not conducive to fantasy relevance. He’s not on the radar even in deeper leagues.

Irv Smith Jr caught both of his targets for 29 yards in the Vikings’ 38-20 win over the Eagles on Sunday.

Fantasy Impact: The rookie hasn’t had much of a role in the offense this season, and that’s unlikely to change as the season goes on. He can be avoided in most league sizes.

Kyle Rudolph corralled all three of his targets for 36 yards in the Vikings’ 38-20 win over the Eagles on Sunday.

Fantasy Impact: Rudolph had his best receiving total of the season Sunday, though that’s not particularly encouraging, considering it was only 36 yards. The Vikings’ passing game is comprised of Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs with a sprinkling of Dalvin Cook, leaving nothing more than scraps for Rudolph.

Stefon Diggs caught seven of 11 targets for 167 yards and three TDs, adding two carries for an additional 18 yards in the Vikings’ 38-20 win over the Eagles on Sunday.

Fantasy Impact: Diggs blew up for his biggest game of the season, ripping off huge plays against a weak Eagles secondary and finding the end zone three times. His scores came from 61, 52, and six yards out, and this performance is just a reminder of the huge upside the Maryland product possesses. Unfortunately, we’ve seen a rock bottom floor in an unpredictable Vikings offense, leaving Diggs a WR2/3, but a fairly volatile one from week-to-week.

Dalvin Cook rushed 16 times for 41 yards and a TD, adding two receptions for 13 yards in the Vikings’ 38-20 win over the Eagles on Sunday.

Fantasy Impact: As was the case with most teams facing the Eagles, the game script followed a pass-heavy approach against a soft secondary. Cook and teammate Alexander Mattison rushed 30 times for a combined 104 yards against a stiff Philly front, though Cook salvaged the afternoon with a touchdown. Next up is another tough test against the Lions in Week 7.

Alexander Mattison rushed 14 times for 63 yards in the Vikings’ 38-20 win over the Eagles on Sunday.

Fantasy Impact: The rookie led the Vikings in rushing yards and finished with just two fewer carries than Dalvin Cook. Mattison has proven to be more than capable of handling a starting back’s workload, and he should be considered the top handcuff in fantasy with some low-end flex appeal in his own right alongside Cook.

Kirk Cousins completed 22 of 29 pass attempts for 333 yards, four TDs, and one INT in the Vikings’ 38-20 win over the Eagles on Sunday.

Fantasy Impact: He added two carries for no gain. After a run-heavy start to the season in which the team leaned heavily on the run game, Cousins has delivered two huge games in back-to-back weeks. A Week 7 matchup against gunslinger Matthew Stafford and the Lions may set up Cousins for another big game.

Ameer Abdullah rushed three times for 24 yards in the Vikings’ 28-10 win over the Giants on Sunday.

Fantasy Impact: He played a distance third to Dalvin Cook and Alexander Mattison in the blowout win. Abdullah isn’t worth a roster spot outside of deep leagues.

Linval Joseph recorded six tackles (four solo), two tackles for a loss, and a sack in the Vikings’ 21-16 loss to the Packers on Sunday.

Fantasy Impact: Joseph recorded a sack for the second straight outing, bringing his season total to two. He’s also amassed 10 tackles (seven solo) thus far, and he’s an IDP option worth considering, based on the matchup.

Chad Beebe caught one of two targets for 61 yards in the Vikings’ 21-16 loss to the Packers on Sunday.

Fantasy Impact: The No. 3 wideout was largely overlooked for Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs, but he was able to come up with a 61-yard reception in the game. He’s not on the fantasy radar outside of the deepest of leagues due to his lack of targets.

Vikings wide receiver Josh Doctson is being placed on injured reserve with a leg injury, according to a report from NFL insider Ian Rapoport. He is a candidate to return later in the season. (Source: Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: The leg injury is likely the hamstring issue that Doctson has been dealing with lately, and the move to injured reserve gives him time to heal while also getting acclimated with a new playbook after just signing with Minnesota a week ago. He is unlikely to be relevant in most fantasy formats this season, but he is a former first round pick of Washington who some in the league still believe has some potential.

Ryan Izzo caught one of his two targets for three yards in the Patriots' season opener, a win over the Steelers.

Fantasy Impact: Izzo does not figure to be a major factor in the passing game this season, and should be left on waivers in fantasy leagues.

Harrison Smith finished with nine tackles (eight solo) in the Vikings’ 28-12 win over the Falcons on Sunday.

Fantasy Impact: Smith unsurprisingly led the Vikings in tackles Sunday. The four-time Pro-Bowler has been a steady source of tackles with interception upside throughout his career and remains an elite option this season.
