Dallas Cowboys running back Miles Sanders could make his preseason debut for the team on Aug. 16 after missing the opener due to a knee injury, says head coach Brian Schottenheimer. (Joseph Hoyt on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Sanders stood out in his final season in Philadelphia, making the Pro Bowl after logging a career-high 1,347 scrimmage yards. Since then, though, he has struggled, averaging 3.5 yards per carry for the Carolina Panthers. His role in Dallas is unclear, but there is no obvious answer to who will be the team's RB1 going forward, making Sanders' health valuable to his outlook.
