The Philadelphia Eagles have claimed wide receiver/return specialist Xavier Gipson off the waiver wire after he was waived by the New York Giants. (Tom Pelissero on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
The Eagles had special teams struggles on Sunday, with running back Tank Bigsby and wide receiver John Metchie III having difficulties fielding the knuckleball kickoffs from Los Angeles Rams kicker Joshua Karty, who was putting the Eagles at a disadvantage in terms of field position. Gipson has been waived twice this season (by the Giants and Jets), but he has more direct experience as a returner, even if he has 10 career fumbles in 35 games.
