New England Patriots running back Antonio Gibson suffered a season-ending torn ACL in Week 5 that will rule him out for the rest of the year. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Gibson has been involved in New England's three-person running back committee, totaling 5+ carries in four of five games this season and scoring in Week 4. Going forward, this injury sets up RBs Rhamondre Stevenson and TreVeyon Henderson for bigger shares of the touches. Gibson has one year left on his three-year deal, setting him up for a potential return in New England for Year 7.
