O'Connell has been sidelined all season due to a wrist injury, but he is ready to take over whichever role the Raiders need after being activated earlier this week. Geno Smith is likely to remain the starting QB, at least a little while longer, while Kenny Pickett competes with O'Connell for the No. 2 spot.
