Travis Hunter expected to play both sides of the ball in 2026

Travis Hunter is expected to play on both sides of the ball in 2026, according to Jaguars GM James Gladstone. (Michael DiRocco on X)

Fantasy Impact:

Hunter was already playing on both sides of the ball in 2025, but the expectation is that he will be playing more defense in 2026 due to the current situation in the receiver room. The Jaguars traded for Jakobi Meyers then handed him a multi-year contract, Parker Washington emerged as a reliable option, and Brian Thomas Jr. is still hanging around with his potential to have a big year as well. Hunter was just starting to break out at receiver before going down to injury, so this is a tough break for his potential fantasy value. He should still be a good situational receiver, but his upside could be limited by playing time.
