Darnell Mooney is expected to be released by the Atlanta Falcons. The veteran wide receiver will count $18.4 million against the salary cap. (Ian Rapoport on X)
Fantasy Impact:
Mooney had a solid first season with the Falcons in 2024 but then regressed substantially in 2025, finishing with just 32 catches for 443 yards and one score. He looked like a star in the making in his second season, catching 81 passes for 1,055 yards and four touchdowns with the Bears in 2021. But, he's finished with 40 catches or less in three of his last four seasons. Still just 28, Mooney still should have plenty in the tank and could be a solid pickup for teams with a shallow receiving corps.
