Tua Tagovailoa released by Miami Dolphins

Tua Tagovailoa has been released by the Miami Dolphins. They are designating him as a post-June 1st cut. This will allow the Dolphins to spread out his massive $100 million cap hit over two seasons. (Ian Rapoport on X)
Fantasy Impact:
Tua will now be able to play on the veteran minimum this season with Miami footing the bill for his salary. He will likely find a home elsewhere, as there are plenty of teams in need of a bridge QB or at least a quality backup. Tua might not be what he once was or who he could have been, but he’s still a capable passer in the right system. Miami will be looking through any and all avenues for a QB for the 2026 season.
