Adam Vinatieri re-signs with Colts

ESPN's Adam Schefter is reporting the Indianapolis Colts and K Adam Vinatieri have agreed to a one-year deal on Thursday.

Fantasy Impact

Vinatieri, 45, signed a one-year deal worth $3.265 million Thursday to remain with the Colts for his 13th season with the club -- and his 20th season as a pro. Chasing the league's all-time scoring record currently held by Hall of Famer Morten Anderson -- Vinatieri needs 57 points to tie the record and 58 to break it -- Vinatieri should once again be one of the most consistent placekickers in the league in 2018. Barring injury, the record is all but a lock.

Adam Vinatieri perfect in season finale

Adam Vinatieri hit both of his field goal attempts, including one from 54-yards out, and both of his extra point attempts on Sunday against the Texans.

Fantasy Impact

Vinatieri was excellent yet again, and he has stated he plans to play again next season, when he will be 45 years old. He's a free agent, however, so his fantasy prospects may depend on where he lands.

Fantasy Impact

Vinatieri hit field goals from 39-yards and 45-yards at home against the Denver Broncos. His first gave the Colts a 10 point lead that they could not hold on to. His second extended their 3rd quarter lead to 13-7. Unfortunately, Denver would go on to score 18 unanswered points.

Adam Vinatieri misses both kicks in blizzard

Colts' kicker Adam Vinatieri made an extra point, but missed both of his kicks on Sunday, as the team lost to the Bills in overtime 13-7. The second miss was a 43 yarder wide left that would have won the game.

Fantasy Impact

With conditions how they were, its not surprising even one of the greatest struggled. Vinatieri should bounce back at home next week against Denver, where there probably won't be a blizzard indoors.
