Adrian Colbert
S - Chicago Bears
2024 Outlook
Former New York Giants S Adrian Colbert is reportedly signing a deal with the New England Patriots, per Adam Schefter.
Fantasy Impact
Colbert suffered an injury in Week 5 and wasn't able to return with the Giants until the closing weeks of the 2020 season. The 27-year old safety will join a Patriots defense led by its secondary in Stephon Gilmore and Devin McCourty. Colbert will compete for a starting strong safety position but could end up being used as added depth in the Patriots' secondary, as well as landing a role on the special teams' units in New England for 2021.
New York Giants safety Adrian Colbert is inactive for Monday Night Football against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Fantasy Impact
Colbert was an early rule out despite participating in limited practices all week. He should be ready to play Washington in Week 9. Colbert has played starters snaps when healthy, unfortunately, he has been active for just three games this season. He is worth a speculative add as a bye week filler for those in need of safety help.
S Adrian Colbert has been released by the Kansas City Chiefs.
Fantasy Impact
Colbert played two seasons with San Francisco and then one with Miami prior to joining the Chiefs this offseason. The former 7th round pick will look to get picked up by another team in need of secondary help this season.
Adrian Colbert has been placed on injured reserve after suffering a high ankle sprain. He will miss the remainder of the season.
Fantasy Impact
The 49ers have struggled all season to contain teams and the loss of their second-year safety is only going to make matters worse. Colbert was not making any impact in IDP leagues and his loss will make the 49ers secondary even more susceptible to big plays. If your offensive skill player is facing the 49ers, you'll want to get him in your lineup.
San Francisco FS Adrian Colbert recorded four solo tackles and one assisted tackle.
Fantasy Impact
Colbert's name wasn't mentioned much during this one, a sharp contrast to his splash-play-filled season as a rookie starter in 2017. If he bounces back and builds on last year, he could be the next Seattle-style star FS. This performance was a step back.
