WR - SF
This Week Outlook
49ers coach Kyle Shanahan says rookie WR Brandon Aiyuk suffered a high-ankle sprain on Saturday and won't play in Week 17.
It's a disappointing end to a phenomenal rookie campaign for Aiyuk. The 25th overall pick in this year's draft, Aiyuk became a fantasy WR1 in the absence of Deebo Samuel down the stretch. He finishes the year with 60 receptions for 748 yards and five TDs. A naturally skilled receiver, Aiyuk gets a bump in value thanks to all the creative ways that Shanahan can scheme him open and give him run-after-catch opportunities. He'll be pricey in '21 fantasy drafts.
Brandon Aiyuk hauled in 1-of-2 targets for 15 yards and gained 16 yards on his lone rush attempt during the 49ers 20-12 victory over the Cardinals on Saturday.
Aiyuk had been the team's leading receiver over the last couple of weeks but with George Kittle returning and C.J. Beathard under center, his volume was drastically reduced. It wasn't all his fault, however, as Patrick Peterson provided excellent coverage on the rookie. He'll look to wrap up his impressive rookie season with a bang in Week 17 against a beatable Seahawks' secondary.
Brandon Aiyuk hauled in 9-of-13 targets for 73 yards and a touchdown during the 49ers' 33-41 loss to the Cowboys in Week 15.
Playing against one of the league's worst pass defenses, Aiyuk struggled to get loose as he posted his lowest yardage total since Week 6. Still, the impressive rookie dominated the teams targets (13) and was able to find the endzone just before halftime from two yards out. With all the injuries plaguing the 49ers' offense, specifically in the receiving game, Aiyuk can really be a league winner down the stretch. If he is somehow still available on your waiver wire, scoop him up immediately. Next up for Aiyuk and the 49ers' is a Week 16 date against the Cardinals' beatable secondary where his volume should keep him in the WR2 upside with upside for more.
Brandon Aiyuk hauled in 10-of-16 targets for 119 yards during the 49ers' 15-23 loss to the WFT in Week 14.
Aiyuk has been simply stellar as of late, compiling 36 receptions for 495 yards and three touchdowns over his last five games. Now with Deebo Samuel (hamstring) likely to miss a few games and potentially the rest of the season, Aiyuk should command weekly WR2 status with upside for much more. The rookie wideout gets a dream matchup against a porous Dallas secondary in Week 15. If you were lucky enough to make to the second round of the fantasy playoffs with him on your roster, start him and don't think twice.
Brandon Aiyuk hauled in 5-of-9 targets for 95 yards and a touchdown during the 49ers' 24-34 loss to the Bills' on Monday Night Football.
Aiyuk led the 49ers' in receiving as he tied Deebo Samuel (9) in targets but was able to post more yards and find the endzone early in the game. It was an impressive showing from Aiyuk, who was just activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list earlier in the week. He may have a hard time seeing consistent volume with Samuel fully healthy but he should be viewed as a high-upside WR3 for the first week of the fantasy playoffs in Week 14 against the Washington Football Team.
