Byron Maxwell records nine tackles against Jaguars

Byron Maxwell recorded nine total tackles (all solo) in the Seahawks' loss to the Jaguars.

Fantasy Impact

Maxwell was one tackle shy of double-digits, a mark he hasn't hit since Week 1 of 2015. While Maxwell had a nice game, it ended with a bitter taste in his mouth as he dropped an easy pick six that would've put the Seahawks on top late in the fourth quarter.

Byron Maxwell grabs first interception since returning to Seahawks

Byron Maxwell recorded seven total tackles (four solo) and grabbed an interception in the closing moments of the game in the Seahawks' win over the Eagles.

Fantasy Impact

Maxwell had easily his best game since returning to the Seahawks, grabbing his first interception of the season.

Byron Maxwell INACTIVE today against Steelers

Dolphins cornerback Byron Maxwell is officially inactive for the team's Wild Card Round matchup with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Maxwell had been limited all week with an ankle injury and was listed as doubtful.

Fantasy Impact

Maxwell was listed as doubtful most of the week, and his absence further depletes a Miami defense that has had to battle through injuries all season. Not having Maxwell to help cover Antonio Brown could cause problems in the Miami secondary on Sunday. Miami's DST is a pretty risky play this week in daily fantasy.

Byron Maxwell plays best game of the season

Byron Maxwell was benched two weeks ago in favor of Tony Lippett after subpar play. He became a starter once more after Xavien Howard injured his knee. On Sunday, Maxwell tied for the lead in tackles, defended four passes, and held Antonio Brown to 4 passes for 39 yards. Maxwell seemed like a different player on Sunday.

Fantasy Impact

Let's see if he's turned a corner for the team. The whole defensive unit was an easy target for weekly QB and WR fantasy and DFS plays. That changed on Sunday. Maybe Adam Gase and Vance Joseph pushed the right buttons this past week.

Byron Maxwell benched for Tony Lippett against the Bengals

Miami Dolphins’ HC Adam Gase wasn’t kidding when he said he was going to make changes to the Dolphins lineup. The Dolphins are demoting one of their big offseason acquisitions CB Byron Maxwell for second year CB Tony Lippett.

Fantasy Impact

Despite the change, I would stay away from the Dolphins D/ST that has been one of the worst units in the NFL this season. Bengals WR A.J. Green is also a must start in daily and seasonal formats going against a young Dolphins’ secondary.
