Hubbard continues to work way behind Rico Dowdle, who handled 21 touches in the loss. Hubbard sets up as nothing more than a handcuff option in fantasy heading into a Week 11 matchup against Atlanta.

Hubbard was relegated to the backup role behind Rico Dowdle in the upset win over the Packers. Considering how well Dowdle has run, it is going to take an injury for Hubbard to regain his starting role. He will be nothing more than a handcuff option in fantasy heading into a Week 10 game against the Saints.

Chuba Hubbard ran 12 times for 34 yards and a touchdown in the Panthers' 40-9 loss to the Bills.

Fantasy Impact

Hubbard's garbage-time touchdown saved his fantasy day. And even then, there wasn't much to save. He's tough to trust for fantasy with the backfield split as it is with him and Rico Dowdle, especially if neither of them are getting receiving work.

Chuba Hubbard (calf) is off of the injury report ahead of Week 8's matchup against the Buffalo Bills.

Hubbard was previously dealing with a calf injury that forced him to miss time, but he was able to play through it in Week 7 and is now off of the injury report entirely heading into Week 8. He should play and will likely continue to split work with Rico Dowdle in this backfield for the foreseeable future.

Panthers coach Dave Canales said the team will continue using a two-back approach.

Rico Dowdle saw more touches than Chuba Hubbard on Sunday, but Hubbard out-snapped him 38-33. They will both likely be in the fringe RB2 territory for fantasy managers.
