Overall, an intriguing RB prospect who saw a significant drop off in production from 2019 to 2020. Possibly due to the offensive coordinator change, Hubbard was asked to run in-between the tackles more than on zone runs, which were his bread-and-butter in 2019. He's a Canadian Olympic sprinter, but the same level of athleticism and burst simply wasn't on his 2020 tape. He has the talent and tools to be a fantastic change-of-pace back in the NFL, but he's unlikely to be drafted highly based off of his poor performance this past season. He'll need to land with an offense that runs heavy outside zone for his skillset to be best utilized.

Hubbard was touted as a top tier talent in 19 and now showing up late on draft boards in 20. Film analysis reveals more concerns than likes. He has elite speed, but not much else. @NFLDraftTalker tweets that "Chuba is both an exciting and frustrating player. Has big time track speed, can show good vision, cutting and patience. Also has issues on going down easily on hits to his lower half, ball security issues and pass pro strength."

I think BEST case scenario he has a Latavius Murray type career. He is fast. If he can go to a team that treats him as the 3D back like OK State, where he was getting 39 carries a game(literally) his first 2 years, he could be able to provide value from the runs he breaks off but needs the volume and isn't good enough on the other plays IMO, and as shown in 2020 when volume decreased.
