Corey Linsley
OL - Los Angeles Chargers
2024 Outlook
The Los Angeles Chargers and center Corey Linsley have restructured their contract to create about $10 million in cap space for 2024 and assist in cap allocation if Linsley retires post-June 1.
Fantasy Impact
Linsley (32) had told reporters that he was "99%" sure he would retire this offseason after dealing with injuries the last couple of seasons after a two-season All-Pro stretch. This reworked deal allows the Chargers to spread out the cap hit over multiple years, reducing its effects in the short term if Linsley retires. Linsley has appeared in 132 career games in 10 seasons, starting all of them.
Los Angeles Chargers All-Pro center Corey Linsley has been ruled out for Monday Night Football due to illness.
Fantasy Impact
Linsley was added to the injury report over the weekend with an illness and has not recovered enough to be able to suit up tonight. Linsley is a true difference-maker at center, so his absence will be felt by an already banged-up offensive line. Being down Linsley will affect the average time to pressure and the efficiency of the running game. Will Clapp is expected to draw the start in his place.
Corey Linsley is considered "day-to-day" per Brandon Staley.
Fantasy Impact
Linsley suffered the injury last Thursday against the Chiefs. He appears to have at least a decent chance of returning this weekend against the Jaguars, but his status should be monitored on Thursday and Friday.
Chargers head coach Brandon Staley said C Corey Linsley should be back to practice next week.
Fantasy Impact
Lindsley suffered the injury in Thursday's game against the Chiefs. He will get a few extra days of rest ahead of Week 3 with the Chargers having played on Thursday. His status will still need to be monitored throughout next week.
According to Tom Pelissero, the Los Angeles Chargers are expected to sign All-Pro Center Corey Linsley. The deal reportedly could make him the highest-paid center in the NFL.
Fantasy Impact
Linsley was graded out as the number one overall center last season (86.4) by PFF, and he lands in a beautiful spot with the Los Angeles Chargers. The terms of the deal have not been disclosed, but he'll be the highest-paid center in the league. This is a huge boost to Justin Herbert and Austin Ekeler as they now have one of the best all-around centers directing the offensive line.
