Moore most recently caught five passes in Tampa Bay last season. This will be his second stint in Carolina. He should add depth to the Panthers wide receiver room.

Moore signed with the Bucs in the offseason making this his fourth team since 2020. He will work in the slot under Mike Evans and Chris Godwin. If one of those goes down, we could see a growth in targets for Moore. Moore should be a guy to keep tabs on throughout the season and should be a late pickup in deeper leagues.

There was some hope that he would be able to return, but that would be pushing it and the team will instead take advantage of the roster spot this move creates. Chicago is already thin at the wide receiver spot as it is, but this news could clear the way for someone like Velus Jones Jr. to step up and see an increased role in the offense.

The Bears have had bad injury luck at WR over the last week, losing N'Keal Harry to a high-ankle sprain and Byron Pringle to a quad injury. Moore has seen solid production in his five-year career, having had two separate 400-plus yard, five-plus touchdown seasons with the Seattle Seahawks. The Bears' already-thin receiving crew took another hit as Moore proceeds to get further evaluation.

Bears WR David Moore was arrested on Monday, July 4th in his hometown of Gainesville, Texas. Moore was charged with possession of a controlled substance and unlawful carrying of weapons. He has since been released after posting his $5,000 bond.

Moore was on the outside looking in on the Bears WR depth chart to begin with, and his arrest does not help his case to make the 53-man roster for the 2022 season.
