DeShone Kizer
QB -
Week 10 Outlook
Availability
Free Agent quarterback DeShone Kizer was one of eight players to work out for the Titans on Monday.
Fantasy Impact
It's likely they are working out Kizer in an effort to provide Ryan Tannehill some depth heading into the season as he hasn't played a full compliment of games since 2015. Tannehill was absent from practice on Monday, which left Cole McDonald and Logan Woodslide the only other available quarterbacks on the roster. Kizer appeared in three games for the Packers in 2018 before failing to play a single down for the Raiders in 2019.
The Las Vegas Raiders have waived QB DeShone Kizer.
Fantasy Impact
The former second-round pick out of Notre Dame just hasn’t lived up to his enormous potential coming out of college. He only started during his rookie season in Cleveland, and put up pedestrian numbers, throwing for 11 TDs with 22 INTs. In his three-year NFL career, Kizer has thrown for 3,081 yards, 11 TDs, and 24 INTs with only a 53.1 completion percentage. He’ll wait for another opportunity to latch onto another team in need of a backup with some experience.
Oakland quarterback DeShone Kizer is inactive for the team's matchup against the Denver Broncos on Monday Night Football.
Fantasy Impact
Kizer was claimed off waivers by the Raiders last week and could be the backup to Derek Carr at some point, but for now, he is the third quarterback behind Mike Glennon.
The Oakland Raiders have claimed QB DeShone Kizer off of waivers. Kizer spent the 2017 season starting the majority of games after Aaron Rodgers went down with an injury. He struggled mightily as a passer, throwing only 11 touchdowns and 22 interceptions.
Fantasy Impact
With Kizer joining the roster, either Mike Glennon or Nathan Peterman will likely get the boot. Kizer has to earn the backup job in Oakland, and likely won't play a fantasy role this year, barring an injury to Derek Carr.
Quarterback DeShone Kizer was released by the Green Bay Packers as part of their roster cutdown on Saturday, according to NFL insider Adam Schefter.
Fantasy Impact
Kizer was selected in the second round of the 2017 NFL Draft by the Cleveland Browns but was traded to the Green Bay Packers last season. With this move, the Packers are seemingly going with Tim Boyle as the backup to Aaron Rodgers, though they could end up acquiring another quarterback over the weekend.
